This supremely rare shooting badge is for Air Force Distinguished Rifleman. It is 10Kt solid gold manf. by L.G.B. 2" high. Price reflects what my client paid for it many years ago. Please be sure to bookmark my upcoming auctions, as I am representing perhaps the largest collection of U.S. Military Collectibles in private hands in America. My client had unlimited resources to buy rare militaria. He purchased the majority of his multi-million dollar collection at auction. He has doggedly collected for fifty years, buying most of his collections when the good old stuff was coming directly from the veterans. He collected WW1 - Vietnam U.S. with some various foreign items thrown in. As an example, he was acquiring Vietnam patches during the War . (He quit buying these circa 1976.) In my upcoming auctions, you will see •Fine medals •Wings •Historical groupings. Aviation, AVG, Ace, etc. •Ultra rare patches •Uniforms •Gear •Head gear •Medals, etc. etc. etc. $4 p/h US $11 Foreign This item is part of a large collection which will be sold in three different venues. Please bookmark my auctions at rfc* and be sure to check weekly. I am owner of timothygordonappraisals, a business dedicated to appraising and selling the worlds best objects and collection. Another colleague at wings-patches will be posting additional special items from this enormous collection.

Japanese WWII Type 90 Steel Helmet

Japanese Second World War Type 90 steel helmet complete with liner and chinstrap. This helmet has the original factory mustard color brown paint, which is a less typical configuration than the hand-painted dark brown painted helmets that are more commonly found in the collectors’ market. The liner is missing one tongue, but is otherwise in excellent condition and shows only light wear. There is small label attached to the inside of the back skirt of the helmet, but it is not legible. The star on the front is oxidized. Overall the helmet is in excellent condition, except for a couple of features noted above. It’s well above average condition for the type.
The net is original WWII Japanese military netting, but is not original to the helmet. The netting was among the personal effects of an American soldier who served in the Pacific during the war. Like soldiers from the USA and other countries, Japanese soldiers commonly used general purpose vehicle netting to camouflage their helmets, so this would be a perfectly correct configuration.

This is one 1000% original German WH , as issued to German soldiers of the AK , RARE & REAL NAMED AK camo gasmask set . The cannister received a comouflage in the sand color , typical of the AK . The paint is covering the original factory field green , the camo paint is still is there at about 70% . The cannister was produced in 1941 and does have a company logo . The closing latch is marked FRN 1941 . The long and short strap are original to this set and show a lot of use . The short strap hook is rust covered . The cannister is NAMED to an OberGefreiter "Kuritka" from the III Zug and what appears to be his fieldpost # 14441 ? the cannister also does have a serial issue # 86 in black paint ( which would have been recorded in the soldier ID papers) , which is where an other # was on the field green paint ?21 , the spring for the cleaning cloth is present at the bottom of the cannister , so is a cleaning cloth . It is D marked . The lenses holder , does have one spare lenses and some bits and pieces to repair the lenses on the mask , the spring to hold them is missing ? . The mask is painted in the AK/Sud front type on the metal parts, the face mask is maker marked and dated 1942 and the lenses on it are dated 1941 , size 2 and made of rubber , produced by AQD , The remain of the red inked WAamt is still visible . It is safe to assume that this set was issued in early 1942 . The filter is the MOD FE42 FE and does a G on it and 8 no other markings are visible, since they were covered by the sand paint . The filter has seen better days and does have a light surface rust , the bottom is a little dented as well . The AK strap holding the is in good condition and maker marked . The original AK/ artic anti-gas pouch is made of the rarely seen sand rubberized material , the gas plane is the typical AK/Artic sheet , made of rubberized paper , the pouch itself is clearly maker marked and dated January 1942 , produced by CEE , and TP ( for tropical) . I do not see any markings on the sheet. ( please note that , while the pouch and the gas sheet were together , the gas pouch was not fixed on the gas mask , must have been at some point , since they were together). This set came from the Son of PRIVATE RICHARD CARLSON from the 103rd Infantry Division of the US army . The son did not know where is Father got it , the 103 rd served in North Afrika , then that is were he got it , the history is there , and can be easily researched . Anyway , these are hard to find these days and this is a real AK set as issued to a soldier in early 1942 . Nice and rare set !!! .
.Overall would be perfect to complete your collection or display. Don't miss it !!!.
