This is a WWII London, England solid brass military directional compass dated 1941.  The compass card has the standard 0 - 360 degree scale, it gets its Military name as the compass rose also has the 0 - 64 Mil scale (one yard at 1,000 yards). The round part of the compass is 2 1/2" across, 1 1/8" thick when folded.  Engraved on the bottom is “TG. Co. Ltd London MK III 1941.  The compass works nicely but the top glass that lifts off is cracked (see picture).  The glass covering the compass rose is fine.
