This amazing collection contains over 2,500 digital images extracted from insignia booklets, guides,
pamphlets and books from the World War Two era. Most of the material is devoted to insignia,
equipment, uniforms and medals of the US Armed Forces, but many international insignia recognition
guides from countries such as the UK and
designed to educate both military personnel and civilians alike about ways to recognize the various ranks
of the US Army, Navy, Marines and Coast Guard. Insignia guides were popular during the war years,
and were often printed in the back of road maps. All the material has been scanned at high resolution
(200 dpi or higher) and converted in jpeg format. Files are organized and named by page number, making
browsing and recall a snap. Any picture viewer can be used to advance through the pages sequentially just
as if you were reading the original printed manuals. These guides offer fantastic insights into our collective
past. Perfect for any military enthusiast or collector of military ephemera.
