WW2 US Air Force Military Rings
ORIGINAL WORLD WAR II AIR FORCE RINGS
2 DIFFERENT STYLES
This is the last of these very rare rings. Never used. Both styles still look in new condition. A few different sizes are still available. Heavy Sterling silver.
During World War II the United States Air Forces (Air Corps) was a division of the United States Army. (In 1947 the Air Force became a separate branch of the military.) These rings are from the time when pilots flew for the Army Air Corps. They are rarely found anymore, and when one occasionally shows up for sale it is usually in very bad condition. Fortunately, these rings actually look much like they did when they were for sale over 66 years ago. They really are quite nice.
They are excellent for collectors. They will only go up in value because they have become a unique item. I've noticed that some people who bought military rings from me are already selling them for much higher prices.
My grandfather sold these military rings in his Los Angeles wholesale jewelry business during World War II and at the end of the war they were put into boxes, and forgotten for many decades.

There are actually 2 different styles, as you can see from the pictures.
STYLE 1. The words "Army of the United States" encircle the front, has a duller finish, and less engraving on the sides. It looks more antique.
STYLE 2. Has a plainer front with no words, the propeller and wings are the focus, there is more ornate engraving on the sides, and the silver is brighter.
Both styles are a brighter silver than the pictures depict. I've noticed that inside a very few of the rings the word "sterling" has faded or disappeared. This is due to the age of the rings, but they are all sterling silver.
When you buy the ring please specify the style and size you prefer and I will try to match it. I may not have what you want because inventory is limited on these 66 year old rings, so best to contact me before you make a payment, especially if you are ordering one of the ring sizes that is listed as "only 1."

STYLE 1. Ring with words "Army of the United States" encircling the propeller and wings: Only 10 1/4 left.
STYLE 2. Ring with propeller and wings only (no writing on front): 12, 12 1/4, 13 1/4 (only 1).
Rings are measured on a jeweler's ring mandrel and because of the thickness of these rings I cannot guarantee that the sizes are completely accurate. Generally the readings have been close to size. No one has complained.
These rings can be sized by a good jeweler.
